to day was uneventfull. pat and I connected a lily pad to experiment with its coding and waited to talk with the instructors about verifying our project..

Today my group met in its entirety. We discussed our idea from last week and realized that it would be a tremendous amount of electronic work to make this happen. So we decided to come up with a less ambitious project.

After hours of brainstorming we came up with the idea to use the lilly pad arduino to make a jacket that bicyclists can wear which will have light up turn signals on the back and buttons on the front to activate the signals.

This project has been done before however we wanted to add another level of complexity to it.

Today my group discovered each other. It consisted of myself Pat Emily and Kelly. Emily however was absent. During this session we did a lot of brain storming and came up with a cool idea for project 2.

The project is a fake tree nub which will mount to a tree and speak to passers by, telling them facts about deforestation and tree species.

The device was to consist of an arduino board handling interrupts from a motion sensor. When the motion sensor was tripped it was to play an audio file and increment a counter.

We wanted to have five trees around campus which would lead people interacting with them to another tree. This would promote physical activity and walking.
